On behalf of an owners' association of an apartment complex in Terneuzen, we renovated balcony floors with a sustainable PMMA coating. The existing coating showed cracking, which could eventually lead to leaks and structural problems. The client's wish: a strong, safe and aesthetically pleasing floor that prevents these kinds of problems permanently.
We sanded the old floor and treated it with a flexible membrane to prevent new cracking. A 4-layer PMMA system was then applied:
A total of 155 m² was treated, spread over several balconies. Implementation took place in just two days, with no prolonged disruption to residents.
The end result: a low-maintenance, durable and visually appealing balcony floor that lasts for years and fully meets the requirements of both residents and manager.
